Facilitator Liz Hicks

Facilitator Liz Hicks presenting a Family Genetics night topic. Liz states: "Family Genetics is a community-oriented, science-filled, multi-generational, hands-on genetics experience that focuses on exploring real-world, current genetics topics.  At the core of the information we present are diverse perspectives that target those under-represented students/parents/families in our community.  We bring concepts about genetics topics and diseases to a level than can be embraced by our audience, while also emphasizing the importance of health care, preventative medicine, and clinical research.  Overall, it's an evening (or school day!) where we can take abstract or misunderstood topics and make them clear, and most importantly, fun!!  It's a genetics-learning extravaganza!"
